Some random thoughts from me.

To celebrate the release of “I hate love,” her collaboration with actor and musician Steve Martin, Kelly Clarkson hopped on a series of social media livestreams on Friday, June 2.

As always, the lives were chaotic in the best way possible… and also surprisingly informative. Besides the funny filters and funny comments, Kelly brought hot pipping tea to these lives on TikTok, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

Here are some of the things that stood out to me:

There’s an unfinished Sia collaboration. 😱 “We also did something for Chemistry,” Kelly said during one of the livestreams. “We just didn’t finish it. It wasn’t quite what it should’ve been.”
She will be doing covers during her mini Las Vegas residency. Unlike the Meaning of Life tour, however, we won’t be getting a livestream every night. Kelly wants the 10 Vegas shows to be special and intimate.
“Chemistry” is Kelly’s favorite from Chemistry. At least for now. She used the words“ethereal” and “broken” to describe the song.
Kelly is a “Netflix and chill” kind of gal…. But in the literal sense. Our queen discovered only recently what this phrase meant. 🤣
Pink recently invited Kelly to sing together live (presumably for a tour or a show), but it didn’t work out because of Kelly’s schedule. 😢
Kelly hinted that she may have done something with country superstar Garth Brooks.
Kelly is open to some interesting music projects in the future, including:

A duets album covering her favorite genres
A re-recording of some of her songs as house and dance tracks
An RnB album
A live album, specifically for the Birthday at the Belasco concert

A Chemistry deluxe edition might be in the works. This isn’t surprising given that we already got a couple of remixes…
Kelly hinted that “Lighthouse” might be released before the album release date. The most likely date for this is June 16 since “Red Flag Collector” is slated for next week, June 9.

Billboard has an exclusive on how Kelly Clarkson was able to secure Steve Martin for “I Hate Love.” “I generally don’t ask [other artists to collaborate] because I get very nervous about bothering people,” Kelly tells Billboard, “but literally, within hours, I got an answer: ‘Oh my God, he’d love to, when are you recording it?’”
Other major media outlets like TODAY, Vulture, and Rolling Stone also wrote about “I Hate Love.”
